Hardwood Oak Gate PostsFSC Certified Timber

Hardwood oak gate posts produced from Forest sustained managed sawmills. Hardwood gate posts are more expensive than softwood posts but withstand the test of time. The density of oak posts is much greater than any softwood and will provide over 20 years of service.

We offer 2 different size in our oak gate posts of which are all 2.4m (8ft) in length. These include the following sizes.

Hardwood Gate Post Size Options

  • 175mm x 175mm Diameter Gate Post
  • 200mm x 200mm Diameter Gate Post
  • 4way top (due to material shortages style top may change between 4 way point and 4 way flat top)

Gate posts are a large diameter of timber, they may have surface splits that can open and close throughout the seasons of the year, this is not detrimental to the strength of the posts. Suitable for hanging large gates such as farm gates or driveway gates. Which size post you choose really depends on the style of gate as different gates can weigh very differently. Delivery

Lead times are subject to availability. Some products are manufactured to order and have advised lead times on product description. A confirmed delivery date will be emailed shortly after an order has been placed. Orders containing multiple products will be dispatched together.
